Under the noble mission of Holistic treatment, P.P. Swami Ramdev Ji. Maharaj has developed the department of Shalakya ENT Clinic & Research Center which is one of the illustrious departments of Patanjali Ayurvedic Hospital and College.

Aims and Objective of Shalakya ENT Clinic & Research Center
  1. To treat the patient suffering from ear, nose, throat & head disease.
  2. To prevent diseases by taking sincere effort on patient education regarding preventive aspects and life style modifications.
  3. To maintain the health of healthy individuals

Almost all the cases mentioned in our classics and modern are coming daily to our OPD. We have a good OPD facility with attached space for examination and various therapeutic procedures including General ward, Pay ward and Specialty rooms are also available. In Shalakya ENT – clinic & Research center, all Ayurvedic therapeutic procedures related to Shalakya are done under the guidance of Specialized doctors and fully skilled therapist. Acute as well as chronic cases are treated here in OPD and IPD with good success rate. Each patient is systemically examined and scientifically evaluated for Doshik predominance. For accurate diagnosis along with classical parameters we are doing all modern investigations also.

Treatment facilities are available related to all Ear diseases like Sensory neural deafness, conductive deafness, Tinnitus, Pus discharge (CSOM), External otitis, Otomycosis, Eustachian tube disfunction etc.

Some other Disease like Trigeminal neuralgia, Acne can also be treated by the following procedures.

Nasyam :

Medicaments administered through nose/ nasal route is called Nasyam. Nasya karma is indicated in the diasease of head and ENT disease (Urdhwajatrugata rogas). It can be used as a preventive, curative and Rejuvenative therapy. It is also applicable in healthy person for keeping up the power of sense organs in head and to stimulate the central nervous system.

Dhumapana :

It is a therapeutic procedure using a specially done with the help of medicated varti. Medicated varti are burnt and the smoke emitted from varti is inhaled through both nostril. It is usually done for vitiated Kapha dosha especially in the respiratory system. It can be done as an individual procedure and as a pashchata karma of vaman or nasya karma.

Gandusha :

Procedure of holding the medicinal decoction / liquid/ oil in the buccal cavity for certain period is called Gandhuha. It can be done in both healthy and diseased persons. In a healthy person it can be done as a regular practice (by using tila taila). In diseased person, the medicine should be selected according to the condition of patient.

Mukhalepam :

It is a procedure of applying medicinal paste on the face. Which is highly effective in netra rogas and mukh rogas. It is especially indicated in Paittika timira and linganasa vedhan upadravas.

Tala Poddicchil /Siro Lepa

Application of paste of medicines on the vertex /head followed by bandaging for specific period. It is a type of bahya kriya and shaman chikitsa. it can be done as an individual therapeutic procedure or as purva karma of other bahya kriyas.

Siro Dhara : Siro dhara is a procedure in which various liquids are continuously poured over forehead and then allowing to flow over the scalp from a specific height for specific period of time. It is very useful procedure with both preventive and curative action and can be used for treating various head disease.

Siro-vasti : It is a procedure in which the medicated oil is allowed to stay over head for the prescribed time. It is very useful procedure for treating various head disease, eye disease and many supraclavicular disorder ( jatrurdhwa rogas).

Siro-pichu : In this procedure, a cotton flap/folded cloth soaked in warm (according to the condition) medicated oil is kept on the head for specified time. It is very useful procedure for treating various head diseases and eye diseases.

Sira-vedha : Sira-vedha is one of the technique of blood letting in whole body (sarvang) rakta dusti. Results are immediate and long lasting.

Karna-dhoopanam :It is indicated in otrrhoea after dry mopping & Otomycosis. It is the procedure of applying medicated smoke or fumes in the ear canal.

Karna-puranam : Procedure of filling oil / swarasa in the auditory canal (karna) for particular time is called Karna-puranam. Indicated in karnashoola, karnanadam (Tinnitus), Badiryam , karna swedam, karnapaka, and krimi karna.

Karnamala Nirharana : In this procedure, wax, foreign bodies, waste materials like dead cells, epithelial cells etc. are removed from external auditory canal.
