Kayachikitsa is a branch of Ayurveda that focuses on internal medicine (uses a combination of medical history, physical examination, laboratory tests, and imaging studies to make diagnoses and develop treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs) and the treatment of diseases affecting the body as a whole. It encompasses diagnosis, treatment, and management of various ailments through herbal medicines, dietary modifications, lifestyle changes, and therapies such as Panchakarma (detoxification procedures).

Kayachiktsa works as a holistic principles, personalized approach, emphasis on prevention, mind-body connection, and natural healing methods can positively impact quality of life by promoting health, longevity, and overall well-being.

Kayachikitsa, as a branch of Ayurveda focusing on internal medicine, can have a positive impact on metabolic disorders, thereby potentially influencing life expectancy.

  1. Number of O.P.D – 2 (13, 14 room number) in Patanjali Yogpeeth Phase I
  2. Total number of I.P.D. beds in Patanjali Hospital- 328
  3. Good number of patients are seeking treatment (Herbal Medication and Panchkarma) in our O.P.D and I.P.D with variety of diseases like CRF, CHF, Cancer patients, Diabetes, Anaemia, Hypertension, Epilepsy, Arthritis, Liver disorders, Respiratory disorders, Skin Disorders, Metabolic Disorders etc. with proper follow-up of patients.
  4. Emergency department of Patanjali hospital is also looked upon by Kayachikitsa Department.
  5. All the other departments in Hospital are also monitored by Kayachikitsa Department.
  6. New combination of medications for various diseases has been developed with the assistance of our college pharmacy.
  7. Various Research publications, Research projects, collaborations with other faculty are also going on in our college.
  8. At present there are 20 scholars pursuing their Post graduates degrees Kayachikitsa Department.
  9. Till 2022 there were 5 seats for P.G. in Kayachikitsa Department. In 2023 5 more seats were added to a total of 10.
